The NewDeavs were started in early 2010 by Steve Newman and Clinton Deavall. Clint and Steve studied together at Wits University a few years back. Both of them were writing songs, but Steve needed a good vocalist and Clint needed a proficient guitarist. And so the NewDeavs was born. The NewDeavs started as an acoustic duo, but soon they decided that they wanted to expand into a full rock outfit. Hence Despina, Oz and Mike joined the band.
The NewDeavs have been furiously working on putting together a tight set and and now ready to start gigging as a fully electric unit!
