|
It is something that we all hoped for under our breaths, something that we never dared dream to believe we'd ever see again, but finally, one of South Africa's finest live rock acts, producers of some of the best classic SA rock tunes, Cutting Jade, returns to our stages!
Not only does our favourite act return to the live scene after a break from the industry, but they return with a bang, fronted with their original singer, Andrew Duggan.
SAMA nominated, MTV and Channel O award nominated and top radio chart dominating band, Cutting Jade took some time out after the release of their critically acclaimed 3rd album release "Come Back to Life".
Now in 2008 Cutting Jade has re-united with Andrew Duggan, the voice that carried smash radio hits like, "She Says", "Look at me now", "Fight you" and of course "10 Seconds".
In early 2004 Andrew left Cutting Jade to pursue a solo career, establishing two bands, The Blame, and Southworld. However, according to Andrew, throughout the time he was away, something kept drawing him back to Cutting Jade. "It just feels right, it's like coming home. The songs are flowing and there is magic in the studio when we are together".
The band, currently in the process of completing their long awaited fourth studio album aptly entitled "From Nothing", has firmly cemented themselves as one of South Africa’s endearing rock acts. They have toured extensively both nationally and in far off places such as England , Germany and France and they are back, reunited, refreshed, renewed and ready to rock!
Shows are currently being booked from April 08. Album release due August 08. |
